Online Talent Agency

ThreeDot Staffing was a fresh startup looking to bring an innovative staffing platform for administrative professionals to the market. The founder, having previously built a successful employment agency from the ground up, was looking to leverage his considerable expertise to explore a new way of placing administrative professionals.

THE PROBLEM

The administrative field is particularly susceptible to high turnover, mismatches in skills and disruption based on new technology

Administrative professionals often switch jobs due to career advancement, better opportunities or job dissatisfaction while companies frequently need temporary administrative staff to cover for absences, maternity leaves or peak workloads.

Companies have specific—and sometimes unique—requirements, making it challenging to find candidates with the right skills.

Increasing reliance on software and technology means candidates' knowledge must constantly be updated to stay competitive and meet the evolving demands of their roles.

THE SOLUTION

Build an online platform to reduce the friction of sourcing and placing administrative professionals

The ThreeDot platform empowers talent partners to quickly source highly qualified, pre-screened candidates based on the unique job requirements.

Candidates get access to a curated list of available jobs, as well as career coaching and skills training to make themselves more marketable.

A NEED FOR SPEED

While user research and testing can help to mitigate the risk of building the wrong thing, there is no replacement for the lessons learned from real-world usage

I built a decision matrix to help the founder understand the implications of going through a traditional double diamond process versus the less orthodox reverse double diamond.

Ultimately, the need to quickly validate his idea, combined with his level of risk tolerance and the small team size led us to choose the reverse double diamond as the best path forward.
